Trust me, I'm not picking the best DFS podcasts for you! But the people who follow me on Twitter know that I always have a few suggestions to share (if you're not on Twitter.)
I've listened to my fair share of finance podcasts and I've been lucky enough to be invited to go on stage with some of the best money podcast authors (like Mr. Money Tips, OTSB) during speaking events. I've already helped people to make their finances work at the point of selling a home, buying a house, and discussing mortgage rates, banks, and other financial topics.
Here are 15 must-listen DFS finance podcasts and here's your chance to skip over to the best DFS podcasts streaming now!
1. How Self Esteem Affects Retirement
The man behind the podcast How Self Esteem Affects Retirement took a harsh look at the state of self-esteem, with the founders of Drugstore.com and YogaJams urging listeners to "Ease Out of Self-Deprecation" and "Teach Your Own Self" to the future generation. Former Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Virginia - Sharon Parham, eloquently explores the need to accept people for who they are, and to be true to the values you set.
2. Podcasting Income Tracker
The truth about maximizing your income is that you may be able to earn more money than you think, but it takes constant discipline and focus. However, you can find almost any podcast title to expand on that topic by reading the titles of the shows, which aren't often the length you'd want to listen to in full. This podcast aims to do just that, filling up seven episodes with tips, exercises, and videos about work/life balance, income optimization, and motivation.
3. DoE Listenings from the Frontlines
Not only do DoE Listenings come with a provocative title that paints the revolution as something that could take place any day now, but it's also no easy project. In fact, the series starts off with a man giving a rather frightening description of what it'd take to effectively overturn the Supreme Court rulings. Together with ePaper show host Rahma Deen, experts in law, medicine, psychology, and law, this podcast offers an engaging mix of knowledge and intrigue.
4. True vs false
Truth Vs False is a young podcast that proposes an alternative view of knowledge. Conned by one great song on Spotify, a man sets out to discover a dozen other ways that he could have survived the pandemic. However, through a series of animated, rapid-fire Q&A sessions, True vs false provides an interesting and innovative twist on the podcast genre.
5. The Long Trade: The Richest Investment in the World
In his recently-released book, The Long Trade: The Richest Investment in the World, the founder of Trinity Hedge Funds describes the natural progression of the markets, as the correlation of raw materials and the stocks of our largest company moves in just one direction. Early episodes of the podcast follow Bitcoin's rise from $20,000 to $3,000 an hour, so you can see what kind of value you might want to put into Bitcoin.
6. Finance Joint Business
Moving to the other end of the spectrum from DoE Listenings is Finance Joint Business. Given the subtitle, you'd think the show would focus on buy-and-hold investing in securities like bonds, but the show blends narratives from both sides of the market to provide insight into investing in the real world.
7. Building a Finance Position for Sale
Finally, if you're looking for a deeper look into building up your finances, this podcast offers a great concept to get you started. In addition to the typical financial topics discussed in many podcasts, you'll also get a fascinating glimpse into some of the assets and tools that can be used to turn your investing habits around.
